imageToday at Munich airport: A chinese man approached me and pointed at the price tag of some Oktoberfest souvenir, uttering with difficulties: “U’ro?”

I was not sure what the man was asking for, then he repeated: “U’ro?” I guessed he wanted to know the price, which was written clearly on the sign. I was still not sure, but I read it loud to him: “Yes, it’s 8 Euro 50.”

And he asked again, now impatient: “U’ro?” “Yes, Euro”, I replied.

He again: “U’ro, not Mark?”

I needed a while until I understood, but then I confirmed: “Yes, Euro. There is no Mark anymore.” The man smiled, satisfied. Then he nodded his head and went away.

I still wonder whether the term Grexit got mixed up in translation and was changed to Germaxit in the Chinese news?
