Yippee, today is the last day of my spring challenge – an 8 day fasting cure. I was very disciplined and kept the promise I made to myself: To break bad habits – too much coffee, too much sweets, too much unhealthy food. It worked out fine.

All those who say “I could never do this” can feel encouraged: Yes, you can do it too, and it gets easier each time. The body seems to have a memory telling it that better times will come soon. Well, the first time was hard, I confess. I kept thinking of food for three days in a row, and then five more, basically. But the next time, and the next, it gets soooo much easier, believe me.

You should do it right, though. Don’t simply stop eating, as this can harm your health. Consult your doc or read good books about it, and then do what they tell you. And if you do, you will experience how much better you feel.

Anyway, here is what I consumed each day:

1. Two smoothies or two glasses of good juice.
Normally, you should have some juice and some veggie broth each day for vitamins and minerals, but I am too lazy and too busy to cook a veggie broth each night, hence I replaced that one with some more juice.

2. Tea, lot’s of tea, and some water, some more water, and then more tea:

3. Exercise. Don’t stop your routines, even though it gets hard, and harder every day.

Try it out and enjoy a light and healthy spring!
