This year has started as a challenge.

I have been ill for seven weeks in a row with ups and downs, but totally unable to do ANY sports of some kind. 500 meters of slow walking to the grocery store left me totally messed up and coughing, so that there was no way I would run even ten meters. I think there has been a killer virus-bacillus-mutant monster clinging to my throat and lungs which I could not get rid of for seven weeks.

Today, I think it is better, and I started to go to the gym, still very cautious to not again fall in this beasts claws. Keep your fingers crossed that I’m really and finally over it.

But then, disaster number two: My macbook crashed when trying to activate file vault (which is, after all, an inbuilt function of Mac OS…!). Whatever data was on this hard drive is now gone. I hope the thing can be repaired so that I can use it for my big project this year. The big project will be revealed once I really start working on it – which might require the macbook – you see the dilemma. I’ll write about that in a while.

So, this was a bad start into the new year, hence there is a positive truth: It can only get better.

To kill the time while ill at home, I started some lettering projects. As I got the feedback that “some color would be nice” when I did the first series, I gave myself a little Christmas present, the most colourful of all coloured pencils available on earth in nearly all colours imaginable (well, sort of – there could be more shades of green, I think). And here are the two first results.

I plan to make a lettering calendar for 2019, and maybe some postcards.

You can find the earlier series on lettering here.
